Responsibility
- Prepare and produce a variety of breads, pastries, and desserts according to standardized recipes and quality standards.
- Assist in measuring, mixing, and baking ingredients while ensuring consistency in texture, taste, and presentation.
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and supplies, and report shortages to the head baker.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic workspace in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Follow proper storage procedures for ingredients and finished products to minimize waste and spoilage.
- Collaborate with the team to fulfill daily production targets and special orders efficiently.
- Assist in developing new recipes or improving existing ones under the guidance of senior chefs.
- Operate and maintain bakery equipment, including ovens, mixers, and proofers, with care and precision.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a bakery, pastry shop, or similar culinary environment (entry-level candidates with strong passion are encouraged to apply).
- Basic knowledge of baking techniques, ingredient functions, and food safety practices.
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality baked goods.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy trays, and work in a warm kitchen environment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and supervisors.
- Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required by production schedules.
- Certification in food hygiene or culinary arts is a plus.
