Responsibility
- Deliver engaging, student-centered O-Level Physics lessons tailored to individual learning styles and needs.
- Develop and implement interactive lesson plans that simplify complex concepts (e.g., mechanics, electricity, thermodynamics) using real-world examples and experiments.
- Assess student progress through regular quizzes, mock exams, and feedback sessions, adjusting teaching methods to maximize understanding.
- Provide one-on-one and small-group tutoring to reinforce learning and address knowledge gaps.
- Collaborate with fellow tutors to share best practices, refine curriculum, and maintain high teaching standards.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to provide updates on student performance and areas for improvement.
- Stay updated on O-Level Physics syllabus changes and incorporate relevant exam strategies into lessons.
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree or teaching certification is a plus).
- Minimum 2 years of experience teaching O-Level or IGCSE Physics (or equivalent) to secondary school students.
- Proven ability to explain complex physics concepts in simple, relatable terms.
- Strong classroom management skills and experience with differentiated instruction.
- Familiarity with O-Level exam formats, marking schemes, and common student misconceptions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Passion for innovative teaching methods, such as gamification, project-based learning, or digital tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Fluency in English (additional languages are a bonus).
