Responsibility
- Provide one-on-one and group academic support to primary school students, focusing on homework completion and understanding of key concepts.
- Assist in planning and delivering engaging learning activities tailored to students’ needs and curriculum requirements.
- Monitor and track students’ academic progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians as needed.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and confidence.
- Support students in developing study skills, time management, and organizational habits to enhance their independence.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to ensure a cohesive approach to each student’s development.
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as maintaining attendance records, grading assignments, and preparing learning materials.
- Promote social and emotional well-being by encouraging teamwork, respect, and a growth mindset among students.
Qualifications
- A diploma or degree in Education, Child Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Prior experience in teaching, tutoring, or student care, particularly with primary school-aged children.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with children in a supportive role.
- Ability to create a structured yet flexible learning environment adapted to diverse needs.
- Familiarity with primary school curricula and teaching methodologies is a plus.
- Proficiency in English (additional languages are beneficial).
- Availability to work part-time hours, including afternoons and possibly weekends, as required.
