Responsibility
- Design and deliver engaging course modules focused on Chinese creative writing techniques and literary theory.
- Conduct interactive workshops to facilitate peer review and critical feedback sessions for students.
- Provide detailed assessments and constructive critiques of student manuscripts and creative projects.
- Mentor students on developing their personal writing voice and portfolio preparation.
- Stay abreast of contemporary trends in Chinese literature and creative writing pedagogy to keep course content relevant.
- Facilitate seminars and discussions that promote a deep understanding of Chinese cultural expression in writing.
- Maintain administrative records of student progress, attendance, and assessment outcomes.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or PhD in Chinese Literature, Creative Writing, or a closely related field.
- Established portfolio of creative works published in reputable Chinese-language platforms or journals.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in tertiary-level teaching or workshop facilitation.
- Exceptional proficiency in written and spoken Chinese; proficiency in English is an added advantage.
- Deep knowledge of both classical and contemporary Chinese literary traditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage diverse student cohorts.
- Ability to foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
