Responsibility
- Develop and deliver high-quality lectures for the CH6230 Advanced Reaction Engineering postgraduate course, ensuring alignment with NTU’s academic standards and learning objectives.
- Design and implement engaging, interactive teaching materials, including presentations, case studies, and problem-solving exercises tailored to postgraduate-level students.
- Facilitate virtual classroom discussions, fostering critical thinking and collaborative learning among students.
- Assess student performance through assignments, examinations, and projects, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
- Collaborate with NTU’s academic team to ensure course content remains current with industry trends and technological advancements in reaction engineering.
- Hold virtual office hours to provide additional support and mentorship to students, addressing their questions and guiding their research or project work.
- Participate in curriculum reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of the course structure and delivery methods.
- Adhere to NTU’s academic policies, deadlines, and administrative requirements for course delivery and student assessment.
Qualifications
- A PhD in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field, with a specialization in reaction engineering or process systems.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of industry experience in chemical engineering, with a focus on reaction engineering, process design, or related areas.
- Prior teaching or mentoring experience at the university or postgraduate level, with a demonstrated ability to engage and inspire students.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex engineering concepts clearly and effectively in a virtual setting.
- Proficiency in digital teaching tools and platforms, such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Publications or research contributions in reaction engineering, process optimization, or related fields are highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet course deadlines and student needs.
