As a key member of our kitchen brigade, you’ll work alongside experienced chefs to prepare and present our signature dishes, including the beloved samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup) and other traditional Korean delicacies. Responsibility
- Assist chefs in the preparation of Korean dishes, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and assembling ingredients.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards by washing utensils, sanitizing workstations, and disposing of waste properly.
- Support the kitchen team during peak hours by plating dishes, garnishing meals, and ensuring timely food delivery to the front of house.
- Receive and organize kitchen supplies, including fresh produce, meats, and dry goods, while monitoring inventory levels.
- Follow food safety and sanitation protocols to ensure compliance with local health regulations.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, and steamers under supervision and with proper training.
- Assist in the preparation of basic Korean sauces, stocks, and side dishes (banchan).
- Collaborate with the team to maintain a positive and efficient workflow in the kitchen.
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of kitchen operations and food preparation techniques (prior experience is a plus but not required).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new culinary techniques and recipes.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 10 kg.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices (training will be provided).
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
