Responsibility
- Analyze project blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Develop and maintain Detailed Unit Price Analyses (DUPA) and Plans of Work (POW) for construction bids.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify scope and requirements.
- Prepare and submit competitive bid proposals within tight deadlines.
- Track material, labor, and equipment costs to ensure estimates align with market rates.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or compliance.
- Assist in post-bid analysis, including evaluating winning/losing factors and refining future estimates.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, revisions, and project-related documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field. Fresh graduates are welcome.
- Basic knowledge of construction cost estimation, POW, DUPA, and bidding processes.
- Familiarity with estimation software (e.g., Plangrid, Procore, or Excel-based tools) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks in a part-time capacity.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and basic project management tools.
- Prior internship or entry-level experience in construction estimation is advantageous but not required.
