Responsibility

  • Conduct comprehensive orthoptic assessments, including visual acuity testing, ocular motility evaluations, and sensory testing.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with strabismus, amblyopia, and other binocular vision disorders.
  • Assist ophthalmologists in pre- and post-operative care for strabismus surgery patients.
  • Educate patients and their families on diagnosis, treatment options, and home-based exercises.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient care and optimal treatment outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with clinical standards and regulations.
  • Participate in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives to enhance orthoptic practices.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior staff and interns in orthoptic techniques and patient care.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Orthoptics or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Certification or licensure as an Orthoptist in Indonesia or eligibility to obtain it.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in orthoptics, preferably in a hospital or specialized eye care setting.
  • Strong knowledge of strabismus, amblyopia, and binocular vision disorders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and orthoptic assessment tools.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with advancements in orthoptics.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced clinical environment.
