Responsibility
- Assist orthopaedic surgeons during surgical procedures, including the preparation and application of casts, splints, and braces.
- Conduct pre- and post-operative patient assessments to evaluate mobility, pain levels, and recovery progress.
- Educate patients and their families on proper use of orthopaedic devices, rehabilitation exercises, and injury prevention techniques.
- Maintain and sterilize orthopaedic equipment and instruments to ensure compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
- Collaborate with physical therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Document patient interactions, treatments, and progress in electronic health records (EHR) with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in orthopaedic technology and techniques through continuous professional development.
- Provide emergency support in trauma cases, including the stabilization of fractures and dislocations.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Certificate in Orthopaedic Technology, Nursing, or a related healthcare field from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Orthopaedic Technician, Cast Technician, or in a similar role (fresh graduates with strong clinical exposure may be considered).
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is highly advantageous.
- Proficient in the use of orthopaedic equipment, including casting materials, traction devices, and surgical instruments.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and compassion for patients.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical terminology.
- Willingness to relocate to Bali, Indonesia, and adapt to a multicultural work environment.
