Responsibility

  • Assist orthopaedic surgeons during surgical procedures, including the preparation and application of casts, splints, and braces.
  • Conduct pre- and post-operative patient assessments to evaluate mobility, pain levels, and recovery progress.
  • Educate patients and their families on proper use of orthopaedic devices, rehabilitation exercises, and injury prevention techniques.
  • Maintain and sterilize orthopaedic equipment and instruments to ensure compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with physical therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Document patient interactions, treatments, and progress in electronic health records (EHR) with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in orthopaedic technology and techniques through continuous professional development.
  • Provide emergency support in trauma cases, including the stabilization of fractures and dislocations.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Certificate in Orthopaedic Technology, Nursing, or a related healthcare field from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Orthopaedic Technician, Cast Technician, or in a similar role (fresh graduates with strong clinical exposure may be considered).
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is highly advantageous.
  • Proficient in the use of orthopaedic equipment, including casting materials, traction devices, and surgical instruments.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and compassion for patients.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical terminology.
  • Willingness to relocate to Bali, Indonesia, and adapt to a multicultural work environment.
