Responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess visual acuity, refractive errors, and overall eye health.
- Diagnose and manage common eye conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration.
- Prescribe and fit corrective lenses, including glasses and contact lenses, tailored to patients' needs.
- Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries or treatments.
- Educate patients on proper eye care, hygiene, and preventive measures to maintain optimal vision.
- Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with clinical standards.
- Stay updated with advancements in optometry and participate in continuous professional development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Optometry or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Valid license to practice optometry in the relevant region.
- Proven experience in conducting eye examinations and diagnosing vision-related issues.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with fluency in Mandarin preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
