Responsibility
- Conduct preliminary eye examinations, including visual acuity tests, refraction assessments, and basic eye health screenings under the supervision of a licensed optometrist.
- Assist customers in selecting appropriate eyewear (glasses, contact lenses) based on their prescription, lifestyle, and preferences.
- Perform accurate measurements for eyeglass fitting, including pupillary distance (PD), frame adjustments, and lens customization.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, explaining optical products, and ensuring a seamless in-store experience.
- Maintain and calibrate optical equipment to ensure precision and compliance with industry standards.
- Handle administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling, patient records management, and inventory tracking for optical products.
- Collaborate with the optometry team to educate customers on eye health, proper lens care, and the benefits of regular eye check-ups.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in eyewear fashion, lens technology, and optical advancements to provide informed recommendations.
Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in Optometry, Ophthalmic Technology, or a related field (e.g., D3 Optician, Refractionist certification).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in optical retail, eye care clinics, or as a refractionist (fresh graduates with relevant internships are welcome to apply).
- Proficiency in performing refraction tests, visual acuity assessments, and basic eye health evaluations.
- Strong knowledge of optical products, including lenses, frames, and contact lenses.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers from diverse backgrounds.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in measurements, record-keeping, and customer consultations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment while maintaining professionalism and patience.
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia; additional languages (e.g., Mandarin, Japanese) are a plus.
