Responsibility
- Perform a wide range of ophthalmic diagnostic tests, including OCT, fundus photography, visual field testing, and tonometry, with precision and care.
- Assist ophthalmologists in clinical examinations by preparing patients, operating specialized equipment, and documenting findings accurately.
- Ensure all diagnostic equipment is properly calibrated, maintained, and compliant with safety and hygiene standards.
- Educate patients on test procedures, addressing concerns and ensuring their comfort throughout the process.
- Collaborate with the medical team to analyze test results and provide preliminary interpretations for further evaluation.
- Maintain meticulous patient records and electronic health data in compliance with SNEC’s protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in ophthalmic technology and techniques through continuous professional development.
- Uphold SNEC’s commitment to patient confidentiality, ethical practices, and high standards of care.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Ophthalmic Technology, Optometry, or a related healthcare field from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Ophthalmic Technologist or in a similar role, preferably in a hospital or specialized eye care setting.
- Certification in ophthalmic imaging or diagnostic procedures (e.g., COA, COT) is highly advantageous.
- Proficient in operating and troubleshooting advanced ophthalmic equipment such as OCT machines, autorefractors, and perimeters.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients, doctors, and staff in a multicultural environment.
- Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia is a plus.
