DSV Global Transport and Logistics is currently seeking a meticulous and proactive Operations Assistant to join our Air Freight team at Changi Airport on a 1-year contract basis. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in the seamless execution of export billing processes and air freight operations.
As an Operations Assistant, you will be the backbone of our export documentation flow, ensuring that every shipment is billed accurately and compliant with international shipping standards. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external clients to maintain high levels of operational excellence. Responsibility
- Manage the end-to-end export billing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness for all air freight shipments.
- Execute SOP-compliant shipping documentation to ensure smooth transit and customs clearance.
- Coordinate effectively with internal teams, warehouse staff, and airline partners to resolve operational bottlenecks.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries regarding shipment status and billing documentation.
- Monitor and track operational KPIs to ensure all service level agreements are met.
- Perform data entry and maintenance in the Transport Management System (TMS) with high precision.
- Ensure full adherence to local trade regulations and internal safety and compliance policies.
Qualifications
- Minimum Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in Air Freight operations or billing; prior experience in a freight forwarding environment is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and common logistics/billing software.
- Strong analytical skills with a high degree of attention to detail for documentation accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate across various organizational levels.
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment, particularly within the dynamic air cargo sector at Changi Airport.
- Willingness to commit to a 1-year contract engagement.
