Responsibility
- Oversee night shift warehouse operations, ensuring timely and accurate receipt, storage, and dispatch of vegetable products.
- Manage and lead a team of warehouse staff, providing training, performance evaluations, and mentorship to ensure high productivity and morale.
- Monitor and control inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock records and minimizing shrinkage through effective loss prevention strategies.
- Implement and enforce quality control measures to maintain the freshness and integrity of vegetable products during storage and handling.
- Coordinate with logistics and transportation teams to ensure seamless inbound and outbound shipments, adhering to delivery schedules.
- Maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on warehouse performance, including inventory levels, staff productivity, and operational challenges.
- Collaborate with procurement and sales teams to forecast demand and optimize warehouse space utilization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Agriculture, or a related field. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Proven experience in warehouse management, preferably in the agricultural or perishable goods sector.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse workforce.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and process improvement.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse management software.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations, particularly those related to food handling and storage.
