Responsibility
- Monitor and report on the daily performance of assigned vessels, ensuring adherence to safety, technical, and operational standards.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of fleet reporting systems to enhance operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with vessel crews, shore-based teams, and third-party service providers to resolve technical issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations, including SOLAS, MARPOL, and ISM Code.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess vessel conditions and recommend necessary repairs or upgrades.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend vessel lifespan.
- Provide technical guidance and training to vessel crews to enhance their operational and safety competencies.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to source high-quality spare parts and materials at competitive prices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the maritime or shipping industry.
- Strong knowledge of international maritime regulations and industry best practices.
- Proven experience in vessel maintenance, repair, and technical management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using maritime software and fleet management systems.
- Ability to travel occasionally to vessel locations and other operational sites.
- Certification in marine engineering or related disciplines is a plus.
