Ocned Water Technology is currently seeking a dedicated Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Engineer to join our expert team in Gelang Patah, Johor. Responsibility
- Monitor and optimize the daily operations of WRP and WTP systems to ensure peak performance.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on pumps, filters, chemical dosing units, and related water treatment equipment.
- Conduct systematic troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, or process-related failures.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation for water quality parameters and equipment runtime.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to OHS (Occupational Health and Safety) protocols on-site.
- Analyze plant performance data to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost-saving measures.
- Manage inventory of spare parts and ensure equipment availability for critical repairs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience in O&M within a water treatment or industrial facility.
- Solid understanding of WTP/WRP processes, including filtration, reverse osmosis, and chemical dosing.
- Proficiency in reading technical manuals, P&IDs (Process and Instrumentation Diagrams), and electrical schematics.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform root-cause analysis on technical equipment failures.
- Ability to work effectively in a team, communicate clearly, and remain calm under pressure during emergency repairs.
- Willingness to perform fieldwork, including rotating shifts or being on-call as required for plant maintenance.
