Responsibility
- Prepare and maintain the operating theatre, ensuring all equipment and instruments are sterilized, functional, and ready for use.
- Assist the surgical team by providing necessary instruments and supplies during procedures.
- Monitor and restock medical supplies, ensuring the operating theatre is always equipped for emergencies.
- Adhere to strict infection control and hygiene protocols to maintain a sterile environment.
- Operate and troubleshoot medical equipment, including anesthesia machines, surgical lights, and monitoring devices.
- Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiologists to ensure seamless surgical workflows.
- Document and maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance, and inventory.
- Participate in training and professional development programs to stay updated with the latest medical technologies and best practices.
Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in Operating Theatre Technology, Nursing, or a related medical field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Operating Theatre Technician or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, medical equipment, and sterilization techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to follow strict protocols and maintain high standards of hygiene and safety.
