Responsibility
- Prepare and maintain operating theatre equipment, ensuring all instruments and devices are sterilized and functional before procedures.
- Assist surgical teams by passing instruments, supplies, and equipment during operations as directed.
- Monitor and restock medical supplies, ensuring the operating theatre is fully equipped for emergencies and scheduled surgeries.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols, including sterilization, disinfection, and waste disposal.
- Support patient transfers to and from the operating theatre, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with nurses, surgeons, and anesthesiologists to facilitate smooth surgical workflows.
- Document and track inventory of surgical supplies and report any shortages or equipment malfunctions.
- Participate in on-call rotations and adapt to varying shift schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in Operating Theatre Technology, Surgical Technology, or a related healthcare field.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an operating theatre or surgical setting (fresh graduates with internship experience may be considered).
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, sterilization techniques, and infection control standards.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with medical staff.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift/move equipment or patients as needed.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Indonesian (Bahasa) is a plus.
