Responsibility
- Perform routine and specialized clinical laboratory tests (hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, immunology, etc.) on patient specimens with strict adherence to protocols.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
- Analyze and interpret test data, identifying abnormalities or inconsistencies and escalating findings to senior staff or physicians as needed.
- Follow quality control procedures and participate in proficiency testing to comply with laboratory accreditation standards (e.g., ISO, CAP).
- Document and report test results accurately in laboratory information systems (LIS) while maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide timely diagnostic support for patient care and treatment planning.
- Adhere to safety and infection control policies, including proper handling and disposal of biohazardous materials.
- Stay updated on emerging laboratory technologies and best practices through continuous professional development.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field (recognized by local or international accrediting bodies).
- Valid license or certification as a Medical Technologist (e.g., Philippine RMT, ASCP, or equivalent).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting, with expertise in multiple disciplines (e.g., hematology, microbiology).
- Proficiency in using laboratory information systems (LIS) and automated analyzers.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory safety protocols, including OSHA and CLIA standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills to ensure accurate test results.
- Ability to work independently and in a team under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal); knowledge of Indonesian or other languages is a plus.
