Responsibility
- Assist surgeons and surgical teams during operative and invasive procedures, ensuring adherence to sterile techniques and patient safety protocols.
- Prepare operating rooms with necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies prior to surgeries, verifying functionality and sterility.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and physiological status throughout surgical procedures, promptly reporting any abnormalities to the surgical team.
- Administer medications, intravenous fluids, and blood products as directed by the anesthesiologist or surgeon, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Provide preoperative and postoperative care, including patient education, wound care, and pain management, to ensure optimal recovery.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals, to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of surgical procedures, patient responses, and any complications or interventions.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives, including infection control, equipment maintenance, and staff training programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid nursing license and registration in Indonesia (or eligibility for licensure if internationally trained).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an OR Nurse or in a perioperative setting, with exposure to a variety of surgical specialties.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required.
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, aseptic techniques, and infection control practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural and multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations, with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Proficiency in English and Bahasa Indonesia; additional languages are a plus.
