Responsibility
- Perform comprehensive eye examinations, including refraction, visual acuity tests, and intraocular pressure measurements.
- Diagnose and manage common vision conditions (e.g., myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, presbyopia) and refer patients for further treatment when necessary.
- Prescribe and fit eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other vision aids with precision and personalized recommendations.
- Educate patients on eye health, preventive care, and the latest advancements in lens technology (e.g., blue-light filtering, photochromic lenses).
- Collaborate with OWNDAYS’ design team to ensure optical products align with both functional needs and fashion trends.
- Maintain accurate patient records and comply with local and international optometry regulations.
- Provide post-fitting follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction and address any adjustments or concerns.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and best practices through continuous professional development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Optometry or a certified Optician qualification from an accredited institution.
- Valid Indonesian optometry license (or eligibility to obtain one) and at least 2 years of clinical experience.
- Proficiency in using automated refraction systems, tonometry, and retinal imaging tools.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly to diverse patients.
- Experience in retail optometry or customer-facing roles is a plus.
- Fluency in English (additional languages, such as Bahasa Indonesia or Mandarin, are advantageous).
- Passion for fashion and eyewear trends, with an eye for detail in frame selection and styling.
