Responsibility
- Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other oncology treatments under physician supervision.
- Monitor and assess patient vital signs, symptoms, and treatment side effects, documenting all observations accurately.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding cancer diagnosis, treatment plans, and coping strategies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (oncologists, pharmacists, social workers) to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, infection control standards, and safety regulations in oncology care.
- Manage and operate medical equipment, including infusion pumps and monitoring devices.
- Conduct patient assessments, including pain management and palliative care needs.
- Participate in clinical research and data collection to support oncology studies and improve treatment methodologies.
Qualifications
- Valid nursing license (preferably with oncology certification or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in oncology nursing or a related specialty.
- Strong knowledge of cancer treatments, chemotherapy protocols, and symptom management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with patients and families.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and compassion.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and oncology-specific software.
- Fluency in English; additional language skills (e.g., Indonesian) are a plus.
