Join TVS Supply Chain Solutions as an Ocean Import Officer and play a pivotal role in managing end-to-end import logistics operations in the dynamic hub of Bali, Indonesia. This position is ideal for detail-oriented professionals with a passion for international trade, customs compliance, and seamless shipment coordination.
In this role, you will serve as the primary liaison between customers, shipping lines, and internal teams to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant import processes. Your expertise will drive operational efficiency, minimize delays, and enhance customer satisfaction in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Based in Badung, you’ll contribute to a global supply chain network while enjoying the vibrant culture and strategic location of Bali—a key gateway for trade in Southeast Asia.
Responsibility
- Manage and process customer bookings for ocean imports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to timelines.
- Coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to facilitate smooth cargo movement.
- Prepare and verify import documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
- Monitor shipment statuses and proactively resolve delays or discrepancies to mitigate risks.
- Ensure compliance with local and international trade regulations, including customs clearance procedures.
- Liaise with customers to provide real-time updates on shipment progress and address inquiries.
- Optimize logistics costs by negotiating rates and selecting the most efficient routing options.
- Maintain accurate records and generate reports for performance tracking and process improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in ocean import operations, freight forwarding, or customs clearance.
- Strong knowledge of incoterms, shipping documentation, and trade compliance.
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset and a focus on customer service.
- Familiarity with Indonesian customs regulations is highly advantageous.
