Responsibility
- Assist nursing staff in providing basic bedside care to patients, including feeding, bathing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, reporting any significant changes to the nurse in charge immediately.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of patient areas and medical equipment to prevent cross-contamination.
- Transport patients to and from diagnostic units, treatment rooms, and discharge areas safely.
- Assist in the preparation of medical supplies and ensure the availability of basic patient care items.
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families, ensuring a comfortable and professional environment.
- Participate in unit meetings and training sessions to stay updated on clinical standards and government protocols.
Qualifications
- Completion of at least two years of studies in college or equivalent relevant experience in a healthcare setting.
- Preferably a Civil Service Eligibility holder (Sub-professional or appropriate level).
- Strong understanding of basic nursing care procedures and patient hygiene standards.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact empathetically with patients of diverse backgrounds.
- High level of integrity, reliability, and physical stamina required to perform duties in a clinical setting.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary healthcare team.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays if required by the facility.
