Responsibility
- Prepare and dispense radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with strict aseptic techniques and radiation safety guidelines.
- Manage the procurement, storage, and inventory control of radioactive isotopes and specialized pharmacy supplies.
- Perform rigorous quality control testing on all prepared doses to ensure accuracy, purity, and clinical efficacy.
- Provide expert clinical guidance to the medical team regarding pharmacological interventions in nuclear medicine.
- Supervise pharmacy staff and technicians, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures and hospital safety protocols.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and records for all radiopharmaceutical preparations to ensure full regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate with radiation safety officers to monitor and maintain a secure working environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
- Possess a valid License to Practice Pharmacy from the Pharmacy Board of Malaysia.
- Proven experience in a hospital pharmacy setting, preferably with exposure to oncology or diagnostic imaging.
- Deep understanding of pharmacokinetics, radiation physics, and nuclear medicine regulations.
- Strong analytical skills with an uncompromising eye for detail and safety.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities to mentor staff and collaborate across departments.
