Responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive patient examinations, accurately diagnose illnesses, and develop effective treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications, administer treatments, and perform minor medical procedures in accordance with professional standards.
- Provide preventive care, health education, and lifestyle advice to patients, promoting overall well-being.
- Maintain meticulous and accurate patient medical records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
- Collaborate effectively with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide initial stabilization and appropriate referrals when necessary.
- Stay updated with the latest medical advancements, clinical guidelines, and best practices through continuous professional development.
- Participate in clinic quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive and efficient working environment.
Qualifications
- Medical Degree (MD, MBBS, MBBCh, or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- Full registration with the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC) and a valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
- Minimum of 2-5 years of post-housemanship clinical experience, preferably in a primary care setting.
- Excellent diagnostic and clinical skills with a patient-centered approach to care.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and empathy skills to build rapport with patients and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; additional language skills are a plus.
