Responsibility
- Perform high-quality 2D echocardiograms, including M-mode, two-dimensional, Doppler, and Color flow imaging.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, addressing anxieties, and ensuring proper positioning.
- Adjust and calibrate ultrasound equipment settings to obtain optimal diagnostic images of the heart's chambers, valves, and blood flow.
- Conduct preliminary analysis of test results, identifying significant abnormalities, and prepare accurate technical summaries for the reviewing cardiologist.
- Maintain, sanitize, and troubleshoot imaging equipment daily, ensuring compliance with patient safety standards.
- Adhere strictly to clinical protocols, infection control guidelines, and data privacy regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to manage patient flow and maintain digital patient records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Radiologic Technology, Nursing, or any allied health science course.
- Must be a Registered/Licensed healthcare professional (PRC license holder).
- Specialized training or certification in Echocardiography is highly preferred (ASPARD or equivalent).
- Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in performing 2D Echo procedures (M-mode, Doppler).
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and ultrasound physics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to handle patients with care and empathy.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills to assist in diagnostic interpretation.
