Responsibility
- Lead the end-to-end New Product Introduction (NPI) process, from prototype development to full-scale production.
- Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and manufacturing teams to refine product designs for cost-effectiveness and manufacturability.
- Develop and maintain project timelines, budgets, and risk assessments to ensure on-time delivery.
- Conduct DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFA (Design for Assembly) analyses to optimize production efficiency.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to source materials, tools, and components required for NPI projects.
- Implement quality control measures and perform validation testing to ensure products meet technical specifications.
- Document all NPI processes, including BOMs (Bill of Materials), work instructions, and test reports.
- Identify and resolve technical bottlenecks during the transition from development to production.
Qualifications
- Bachelorās degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; Masterās degree is a plus.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in NPI, manufacturing engineering, or product development within precision machining or similar industries.
- Proven track record of successfully launching new products from concept to mass production.
- Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD), GD&T, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA) and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills to liaise with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, Six Sigma, or other quality management systems is advantageous.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and evolving priorities.
