Responsibility
- Prepare and set up tooling, die sets, test jigs, and equipment for new sample builds and production runs.
- Coordinate with suppliers to source high-quality tooling, materials, and components required for production.
- Assist in the installation, calibration, and maintenance of production equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot tooling and equipment issues.
- Document tooling specifications, modifications, and maintenance activities for future reference.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards during tooling preparation and production processes.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance tooling efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Assist in training production staff on the proper use and handling of tooling and equipment.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in a production, tooling, or manufacturing environment (internships or academic projects are a plus).
- Basic understanding of tooling, die sets, jigs, and fixtures used in manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with reading technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with suppliers, engineers, and production staff.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and basic knowledge of CAD software is advantageous.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
