Are you a detail-oriented Engineer with a passion for process innovation? ATC - Applied Total Control Treatment is seeking a dynamic NPI Engineer to join our team in Bandar Baru Bangi. In this role, you will be the technical bridge between product design and volume manufacturing, ensuring our high-precision surface treatment, plating, and cleaning processes are optimized for excellence.
You will lead New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, championing Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles to ensure seamless tech transfers. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve technical bottlenecks and drive our commitment to industry-leading quality standards.
Responsibility
- Lead the end-to-end NPI lifecycle for new surface treatment projects, from initial prototype through to mass production.
- Perform comprehensive Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews to enhance process efficiency and reduce costs.
- Execute technology transfers from R&D to production, ensuring all process parameters and controls are validated.
- Manage the optimization of plating and specialized cleaning processes to meet stringent customer specifications.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for quality issues and implement robust corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments, including production, quality assurance, and sales, to align on project timelines.
- Maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions for new processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Material Science, or related Engineering field.
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in NPI, process engineering, or surface treatment environments.
- Proficiency in DFM principles and process mapping tools.
- Strong understanding of plating processes, chemical cleaning, and finishing technologies.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical production issues.
- Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO standards) and statistical process control (SPC).
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to lead meetings and coordinate project milestones effectively.
