Responsibility
- Lead the strategic sourcing and procurement of materials and components for New Product Development (NPD) projects.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to align procurement strategies with project timelines and budgetary goals.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure cost-effective and high-quality materials.
- Monitor supplier performance, ensuring compliance with quality standards, delivery schedules, and contractual obligations.
- Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain, implementing contingency plans to minimize disruptions.
- Analyze market trends and supplier capabilities to recommend optimal sourcing strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of procurement activities, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier agreements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes and reduce lead times.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably in the manufacturing or electronics industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing supplier relationships and negotiating contracts.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and logistics.
