Responsibility
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including Gantt charts, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure on-time delivery of NPI projects.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain) to align project goals and resolve technical challenges.
- Lead feasibility studies and risk assessments for new product designs, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Oversee prototype development, testing, and validation phases, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
- Monitor project budgets, milestones, and KPIs, reporting progress to senior management and clients with clear, data-driven updates.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize NPI processes, reducing time-to-market and enhancing product quality.
- Collaborate with customers and vendors to gather requirements, address concerns, and ensure smooth project handover to production teams.
- Document all project activities, including technical specifications, test reports, and post-launch reviews, for future reference and compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in NPI project management, product development, or manufacturing engineering, preferably in electronics or precision components.
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple NPI projects from concept to mass production.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Primavera) and CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Strong understanding of DFM (Design for Manufacturing), DFA (Design for Assembly), and lean manufacturing principles.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills in a multicultural environment.
- Familiarity with quality standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949) and regulatory compliance (e.g., RoHS, REACH).
- Ability to travel occasionally for customer meetings, supplier visits, or on-site troubleshooting.
