Responsibility
- Lead the end-to-end New Product Introduction (NPI) process, from concept development to mass production, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines.
- Collaborate with R&D, design, and manufacturing teams to refine product specifications, tooling requirements, and production feasibility.
- Oversee tooling design, prototyping, and validation to ensure optimal performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance product quality, reduce lead times, and minimize production costs.
- Conduct risk assessments and failure mode analysis to mitigate potential issues during product launches.
- Manage vendor and supplier relationships to source high-quality materials and components at competitive prices.
- Monitor production metrics and KPIs, providing data-driven insights to stakeholders for continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality control protocols throughout the NPI lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in NPI, product engineering, or tooling design, preferably in a manufacturing or high-tech industry.
- Proven track record of successfully launching new products from prototype to full-scale production.
- Strong proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and DFM/DFA principles.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and meet tight deadlines.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and quality control systems (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret technical data, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with fluency in English.
