Responsibility
- Lead guided tours through mangrove forests and other natural habitats, ensuring a safe and educational experience for visitors.
- Educate tour participants about local ecosystems, biodiversity, and the importance of conservation efforts.
- Develop and deliver engaging presentations and interactive activities that highlight environmental sustainability.
- Monitor and report on the health of local ecosystems, contributing to ongoing conservation projects.
- Collaborate with local communities and organizations to promote eco-tourism and environmental awareness.
- Maintain tour equipment and ensure all safety protocols are followed during excursions.
- Assist in the planning and organization of special events, workshops, and educational programs.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing visitor questions and concerns with professionalism and enthusiasm.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, Tourism, or a related field.
- Proven experience in guiding tours, environmental education, or conservation work.
- Strong knowledge of local ecosystems, particularly mangrove forests, and their ecological significance.
- Excellent communication and public speaking skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Physical fitness and the ability to lead tours in outdoor, sometimes challenging, environments.
- First aid certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia; additional languages are a plus.
- Passion for environmental conservation and a commitment to sustainable tourism practices.
