The Municipal Government of Balabagan, Lanao Del Sur is seeking a dedicated and visionary Municipal Agricultural Officer to lead our local agricultural development initiatives. As our Agricultural Officer, you will serve as the primary advisor to the local government on all matters related to agricultural policy, production, and sustainable development. You will spearhead the implementation of modern farming techniques, manage agricultural projects, and foster strong partnerships with provincial and national agencies to secure resources and technical support for our local farmers.

Responsibility
- Develop and implement municipal agricultural development programs and projects in line with national and regional objectives.
- Provide technical assistance, training, and support to local farmers to increase crop yields and livestock production.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of agricultural programs and assess their impact on local food security and economic stability.
- Coordinate with government agencies (DA, BARMM-MAFAR) to access funds, subsidies, and technical resources for the municipality.
- Manage the operations of the Office of the Municipal Agricultural Officer, including budgeting, personnel management, and reporting.
- Advise the Local Chief Executive on policies and ordinances that promote sustainable agricultural practices and environmental conservation.
- Conduct regular field visits to monitor pest control, soil health, and irrigation infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, or a closely related field.
- Must possess relevant Civil Service Eligibility (Professional) or be a Licensed Agriculturist.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in agricultural planning, project management, or community development.
- Strong understanding of the agricultural landscape, challenges, and opportunities within the Bangsamoro region.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with local farmers, community leaders, and government stakeholders.
- Proficiency in local dialects and strong knowledge of local government operations in the Philippines.
- Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and analytical skills.
