As our Hatchery Supervisor, you will oversee the daily activities of the hatchery facility. You will be responsible for maintaining precise environmental conditions, managing production schedules, and leading our hatchery team to ensure optimal hatch rates and chick health. Responsibility
- Manage day-to-day operations of the poultry hatchery, including egg setting, incubation, and transfer processes.
- Monitor and maintain optimal incubation parameters such as temperature, humidity, and ventilation.
- Supervise hatchery staff, providing training, guidance, and daily workflow oversight.
- Maintain strict biosecurity protocols to ensure a pathogen-free environment for chicks.
- Track and document daily production metrics, hatch rates, and mortality levels.
- Perform regular maintenance checks on incubation machinery and climate control systems.
- Ensure compliance with company safety standards and government agricultural regulations.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, Veterinary Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a commercial poultry hatchery environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in troubleshooting machinery and environmental variances.
- Ability to work flexible hours to monitor incubation cycles.
- Basic proficiency in data entry and reporting using computer software.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a small operations team.
- Fluent in local languages (Malay/English/Chinese) to facilitate effective communication.
