Responsibility
- Operate MRI scanners and related equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images of patients' internal structures.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
- Follow strict radiation safety protocols and maintain compliance with all regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to interpret imaging results and provide accurate diagnostic support.
- Maintain and calibrate MRI equipment, troubleshooting technical issues as they arise.
- Educate patients on the imaging process, addressing any concerns and ensuring they understand the procedure.
- Document patient information, imaging parameters, and procedural details accurately in electronic health records.
- Stay updated with advancements in MRI technology and imaging techniques through continuous professional development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology, Medical Imaging, or a related field.
- Valid certification or license as an MRI Technologist (e.g., ARRT certification or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating MRI equipment in a clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Excellent technical skills in MRI imaging, including sequence selection and parameter adjustment.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and patient care.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, physicians, and healthcare teams.
- Commitment to adhering to ethical standards and patient confidentiality (HIPAA or equivalent).
