Responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision health, detect refractive errors, and identify potential eye conditions.
- Prescribe and fit corrective lenses, including single-vision, bifocal, progressive, and specialty lenses, ensuring optimal visual acuity and comfort.
- Assist clients in selecting eyewear that aligns with their prescription, lifestyle, and aesthetic preferences, offering expert advice on frame styles, materials, and lens options.
- Perform precise measurements for pupillary distance (PD), segment height, and frame adjustments to guarantee a perfect fit for every pair of glasses.
- Educate customers on proper eyewear care, maintenance, and the benefits of advanced lens technologies, such as blue light filters and photochromic lenses.
- Collaborate with the optical team to manage inventory, track trends in eyewear fashion, and ensure the availability of high-quality products.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including examination results, prescriptions, and follow-up care plans, in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in optometry, lens technology, and eyewear trends to provide cutting-edge solutions to clients.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client concerns, offering personalized recommendations, and fostering long-term relationships.
Qualifications
- Valid license as an Optometrist or Optician from a recognized institution or regulatory body.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in optometry, optical retail, or a related field, with a strong portfolio of successful client outcomes.
- Proficiency in conducting eye examinations, interpreting results, and prescribing corrective lenses with precision.
- In-depth knowledge of lens technologies, including anti-reflective coatings, polarized lenses, and progressive lenses.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex optical concepts in a clear and engaging manner.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly in frame fitting, measurements, and adjustments to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Familiarity with optical software and tools for record-keeping, inventory management, and client follow-ups.
- Passion for fashion and eyewear trends, with the ability to recommend styles that suit individual preferences and face shapes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment while maintaining a high standard of professionalism.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Bahasa Indonesia, Mandarin, Japanese) are a plus.
