job description

Join Starkid Bali as a Montessori Teacher and become part of a nurturing educational community in the heart of Nusa Dua, Bali. This is a unique opportunity to shape young minds in a child-centered, holistic learning environment that values creativity, independence, and respect.

At Starkid Bali, we believe in fostering a love for learning through the Montessori method, where children explore at their own pace in a prepared, engaging atmosphere. As a Montessori Teacher, you will guide students aged 3-6 years, helping them develop critical thinking, social skills, and emotional intelligence while working in a supportive, multicultural setting.

This part-time role offers a competitive salary, professional growth, and the chance to live and work in one of the world’s most beautiful and culturally rich destinations. Whether you’re an experienced educator or passionate about early childhood development, we invite you to grow with us in Bali’s vibrant educational landscape.

Responsibility

  • Design and implement Montessori-based lesson plans tailored to individual student needs, following the school’s curriculum.
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence.
  • Observe and assess children’s development, providing personalized guidance to support their social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
  • Collaborate with parents and guardians through regular communication to discuss progress and address concerns.
  • Prepare and maintain Montessori materials, ensuring the classroom is organized and resources are accessible.
  • Foster a bilingual or multicultural learning experience (English/Indonesian) where applicable.
  • Participate in staff meetings, workshops, and professional development to enhance teaching skills.
  • Uphold the school’s values of respect, kindness, and community in all interactions with students and colleagues.

Qualifications

  • Montessori certification (e.g., AMI, MCI, or equivalent) is highly preferred; candidates with early childhood education backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience teaching in a Montessori or early childhood setting (fresh graduates with strong passion may be considered).
  • Fluency in English (additional Indonesian language skills are a plus).
  • Deep understanding of child development principles and the ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles.
  • Excellent communication, patience, and interpersonal skills to engage with children, parents, and staff.
  • Creative, problem-solving mindset with a commitment to lifelong learning.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, multicultural team.
  • Passion for holistic education and a genuine love for working with young children.
