Responsibility
- Develop, optimize, and maintain molding processes to ensure consistent product quality and efficiency.
- Perform troubleshooting on molding equipment and processes to resolve technical issues and minimize downtime.
- Monitor and adjust process parameters (e.g., temperature, pressure, cycle time) to meet production specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality checks on molded products to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers and production staff, to improve workflows and implement best practices.
- Document process settings, adjustments, and outcomes for traceability and continuous improvement.
- Train and mentor junior technicians on molding techniques, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
- Stay updated with advancements in molding technology and recommend process or equipment upgrades as needed.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Polymer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Molding Technician or in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
- Hands-on experience with injection molding, blow molding, or compression molding processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and process documentation.
- Familiarity with quality control tools (e.g., SPC, Six Sigma) and industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
