Responsibility
- Lead electrical design and development for access control systems, security hardware, and IoT-enabled solutions, ensuring compliance with international standards (IEC, UL, CE).
- Provide technical sales support to regional teams, including product demonstrations, customization guidance, and troubleshooting for high-value clients.
- Conduct market research to identify gaps and opportunities, translating insights into actionable product roadmaps.
- Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing teams to optimize production processes, reduce costs, and improve product reliability.
- Develop technical documentation, including schematics, BOMs, and user manuals, for internal and external stakeholders.
- Spearhead prototyping and testing of new electrical components, ensuring performance, safety, and scalability.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and sales teams on technical specifications, installation best practices, and compliance requirements.
- Represent dormakaba at industry conferences and trade shows, showcasing innovations and building partnerships.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., P.Eng, PE) are a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical design, preferably in access control, security systems, or industrial automation.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks Electrical), PCB design (Altium, KiCad), and simulation software (MATLAB, LabVIEW).
- Strong knowledge of power electronics, embedded systems, and IoT protocols (Modbus, BACnet, LoRaWAN).
- Experience with regulatory compliance (IEC 62368, UL 916, EN 60950) and safety standards for electrical products.
- Excellent problem-solving and project management skills, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia or Mandarin is advantageous.
- Ability to travel regionally (20-30%) for client meetings, site visits, and training sessions.
