In this role, you will play a critical part in our production operations, ensuring that our injection molding processes meet the highest standards of precision, efficiency, and quality.
As a Molding Technician, you will be responsible for the setup, startup, and optimization of state-of-the-art injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot technical issues, minimize downtime, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibility
- Set up, start up, and calibrate injection molding machines according to production schedules and technical specifications.
- Monitor and optimize molding processes to ensure maximum efficiency and high-quality output.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on molding machines and auxiliary equipment to minimize downtime.
- Conduct regular quality checks on molded components to ensure compliance with company standards and customer requirements.
- Support process engineering teams in performing mold trials and implementing process improvements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in accordance with 5S and safety regulations.
- Document process parameters and maintenance logs accurately to ensure production traceability.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience in an injection molding environment.
- Strong understanding of injection molding principles, materials (resins), and tooling.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ability to work on a rotational shift basis as required by production needs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
