Responsibility
- Set up, operate, and maintain bending and cutting machines for metal fabrication according to specifications and safety guidelines.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine appropriate machine settings and production sequences.
- Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or quality issues, making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance and product quality.
- Perform routine quality checks on finished products using measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers) to ensure adherence to precise dimensions and tolerances.
- Load and unload materials onto machines, ensuring proper handling and storage of raw materials and finished goods.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintaining a clean work area.
- Maintain accurate production records, including quantities produced, materials used, and any downtime or issues encountered.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and resolve production challenges efficiently.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Machine Operator, preferably in metal fabrication or a similar manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in operating bending machines, cutting machines, or other relevant industrial machinery.
- Ability to read and accurately interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Strong understanding of quality control procedures and experience using measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measures).
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot minor machine issues.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in machine operation is a plus.
- Physical stamina and manual dexterity required to perform duties, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
