Responsibility
- Design and develop high-quality molding tools and dies using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production and quality assurance, to ensure mold designs meet project specifications.
- Conduct feasibility studies and prototype testing to validate mold performance and durability.
- Optimize existing mold designs to improve efficiency, reduce material waste, and enhance product quality.
- Create detailed technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mold-related issues during production, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Stay updated with industry trends, new materials, and advanced molding technologies to drive innovation.
- Provide technical support and training to production teams on mold operation and maintenance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in mold design, tooling, or a similar engineering role.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, NX, or similar) and familiarity with CAM tools.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and mold-making techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in technical design.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with teams and stakeholders.
- Experience in the plastics or metal molding industry is a plus.
