Responsibility
- Operate and maintain mobile X-ray and other radiologic equipment during TB Caravan screening events.
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols and infection control standards.
- Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging, including chest X-rays, for TB detection.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to interpret results and provide preliminary findings.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with mobile clinic equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of patient data, imaging results, and equipment maintenance logs.
- Educate community members and local staff on the importance of TB screening and early detection.
- Assist in the setup, transportation, and breakdown of mobile clinic equipment as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field; licensed Radiologic Technologist.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in radiology, preferably in mobile or community health settings.
- Proficient in operating portable X-ray machines and other diagnostic imaging equipment.
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety, infection control, and medical ethics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse communities.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environments with minimal supervision.
- Physical stamina to handle equipment setup and travel to various screening locations.
