Responsibility
- Operate and monitor milling equipment to ensure optimal performance and output quality.
- Conduct regular inspections of machinery to identify and report potential issues or malfunctions.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs, to extend equipment lifespan.
- Follow strict safety protocols and adhere to company policies to maintain a hazard-free workplace.
- Record and document production data, including output volumes, downtime, and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to troubleshoot and resolve equipment-related problems.
- Ensure compliance with quality control standards and adjust operations as needed to meet specifications.
- Assist in the setup and calibration of milling machines for different production runs.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Mill Operator or in a similar role within the manufacturing or production industry.
- Technical knowledge of milling equipment, including operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including shift work, overtime, and weekends as required.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
- Certification in occupational health and safety (OHS) is a plus.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
