Responsibility
- Process and validate trade confirmations for accuracy, ensuring timely settlement and adherence to internal/external deadlines.
- Monitor trade lifecycle events (e.g., allocations, affirmations, settlements) and escalate discrepancies to front-office teams.
- Reconcile trade breaks between front-office systems (e.g., Murex, Calypso) and back-office platforms (e.g., SWIFT, DTCC).
- Support daily P&L and risk reporting, identifying anomalies and collaborating with risk management teams to resolve issues.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., MiFID II, Dodd-Frank) and internal policies for trade documentation.
- Optimize operational workflows by automating manual processes (e.g., Excel macros, VBA scripts) and documenting SOPs.
- Act as a liaison between traders, brokers, and back-office teams to resolve trade failures and minimize operational risk.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects, such as system migrations or new product implementations, to enhance trade processing efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in middle office trade operations, settlements, or trade support within banking/financial services.
- Proficiency in trade lifecycle processes for equities, fixed income, or derivatives (e.g., swaps, options, futures).
- Familiarity with trade systems (e.g., Murex, Calypso, Bloomberg AIM) and back-office platforms (e.g., SWIFT, Omgeo).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret trade data, identify trends, and resolve discrepancies.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal) to liaise with global teams and stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision while meeting tight deadlines.
- Certifications such as CFA, FRM, or Operations Professional (SFA) are a plus.
