As a Merchant Validator Officer, you will conduct thorough research and on-site verification of unregistered food and beverage merchants, ensuring they meet platform standards before integration. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing the trust and quality of our online marketplace, connecting consumers with verified, high-quality local vendors.
Based in Bali’s most sought-after locations—Canggu, Ubud, Denpasar, Jimbaran, Nusa Dua, Kuta, and Badung—this contract role offers a unique opportunity to engage with diverse culinary entrepreneurs while enjoying the island’s rich culture and scenic landscapes.
Responsibility
- Conduct in-depth research to identify unregistered culinary merchants in assigned regions.
- Perform on-site visits to validate merchant operations, including business legitimacy, licensing, and active status.
- Collect and verify merchant documentation, such as business permits, tax IDs, and ownership details.
- Assess merchant compliance with platform policies, hygiene standards, and service quality.
- Document findings with accurate reports, including photos, notes, and verification status.
- Collaborate with internal teams to update merchant databases and resolve discrepancies.
- Provide feedback to merchants on requirements for platform onboarding and improvement areas.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local F&B trends and regulatory changes affecting merchant eligibility.
Qualifications
- Minimum Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, or a related field.
- Proven experience in field verification, sales, or merchant onboarding (preferably in F&B or retail).
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills to assess merchant credibility.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse merchant owners.
- Proficiency in digital tools (e.g., GPS, mobile apps, spreadsheets) for data collection and reporting.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Ownership of a motorcycle or car and a valid driver’s license for field travel.
- Fluency in English and Indonesian; knowledge of local dialects is a plus.
