BukuWarung, a leading fintech platform empowering micro and small businesses in Indonesia, is expanding its merchant network in Bali. Weâre seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Canvassing (Merchant Success Executive) to acquire new merchants and drive the adoption of our cutting-edge EDC (Electronic Data Capture) solutions.
In this role, youâll play a pivotal part in onboarding local businesses, educating them on the benefits of digital payments, and ensuring seamless integration with BukuWarungâs ecosystem. Based in Baliâs vibrant commercial hubsâCanggu, Ubud, Denpasar, Jimbaran, Nusa Dua, Kuta, or Badungâyouâll work closely with a collaborative team to achieve ambitious growth targets while making a tangible impact on the local economy.
Responsibility
- Identify and engage potential merchants (retailers, restaurants, SMEs) in assigned territories to promote BukuWarungâs EDC solutions.
- Conduct in-person or virtual presentations to demonstrate the value of digital payment systems and BukuWarungâs platform.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly merchant acquisition targets, ensuring high conversion rates from leads to active users.
- Provide end-to-end support to merchants, including onboarding, training, and troubleshooting to ensure smooth adoption.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with merchants, addressing their concerns and gathering feedback to improve service offerings.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to execute local campaigns, promotions, and incentives to drive merchant sign-ups.
- Track and report sales activities, merchant performance, and market trends using CRM tools.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes affecting digital payments.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in sales, business development, or merchant acquisition, preferably in fintech, banking, or payment solutions.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a field sales or canvassing role.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build trust with diverse stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, resilient, and comfortable working in a target-driven environment with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with EDC machines, digital wallets, or POS systems is a plus.
- Willingness to travel extensively within Bali to meet merchants in person.
- Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English; proficiency in local Balinese dialects is advantageous.
- Possession of a motorcycle (SIM C) and willingness to use it for fieldwork.
