Responsibility
- Analyze sales data, inventory levels, and market trends to optimize product allocation across retail locations.
- Develop and implement data-driven merchandising strategies to maximize sales and minimize overstock or stockouts.
- Collaborate with buying, planning, and store teams to align inventory distribution with demand forecasts.
- Monitor and adjust inventory allocations in real-time to respond to changing market conditions or promotional activities.
- Generate reports and presentations to communicate allocation decisions, performance metrics, and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Identify slow-moving or excess inventory and propose solutions such as transfers, markdowns, or promotions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory movements, allocations, and stock levels.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies in retail analytics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Retail Merchandising, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in merchandising, inventory management, or retail allocation.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data modeling) and retail management software.
- Experience with ERP or inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of retail KPIs such as sell-through rates, inventory turnover, and GMROI.
- Ability to work independently and make data-backed decisions under tight deadlines.
